This is a core offer of extended services which we hope that every family in North Yorkshire and in particular the Catterick and Colburn area, will have the opportunity to enjoy and access via their local school, these services will be introduced and built upon from now and until 2010.
Some of these services will include:
High quality childcare, provided on the school site or through other local providers, available from 8am to 6pm all the year around
Pupils offered a varied menu of activities such as homework clubs, study clubs, study support, sporting activities, music tuition, dance and drama, arts and crafts, special interest clubs, visits to museums and galleries as well as business and enterprise activities.
Parent support including information sessions for parents at key transitional points, parenting programmes and family learning sessions.
Quick and easy referral to a range of specialist support services, such as speech therapy, family support services and intensive behaviour support, some of which may be delivered on a school site.
Wider community access to ICT, sports and arts facilities including adult learning.
